Senior Billing EDI Analyst

Role: Senior Billing EDI Analyst responsible for managing healthcare EDI operations, resolving complex transaction issues, and supporting revenue cycle initiatives. Responsibilities: monitor and analyze healthcare EDI transactions, investigate and resolve transmission, mapping, eligibility, claim status, and payment issues; lead testing and validation for payer onboarding, system upgrades, and EDI enhancements; develop SOPs, workflows, and documentation; mentor team members and collaborate with IT, billing, vendors, payers, and revenue cycle stakeholders to optimize transaction accuracy and operational efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of healthcare data analysis experience, including 3+ years supporting healthcare billing EDI processes, or equivalent experience with higher education and longer tenure; proficiency in healthcare transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 999/277CA); experience with root cause analysis, testing, and systems support; strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experience with SQL, business intelligence tools, and healthcare analytics platforms, along with knowledge of HIPAA X12 transactions.
