Role: The Automation Engineering Manager, OT Infrastructure & Integration, provides leadership and technical oversight for manufacturing OT infrastructure and automation systems at Johnson & Johnson's Wilson site. Objectives include developing and executing strategies to ensure reliable, secure, compliant, and scalable industrial automation environments supporting GMP manufacturing. Responsibilities encompass leading cross-functional teams, managing OT architecture, infrastructure lifecycle, cybersecurity, and system integration efforts across manufacturing systems such as DCS, PLC, MES, historians, and OT network design. The role involves project delivery from concept to startup, ensuring adherence to cGMP, cybersecurity, and validation standards, as well as stakeholder collaboration with Digital/IT, Quality, Engineering, and suppliers. Key tasks include defining standards, reviewing designs, supporting inspections, and driving continuous improvements. Qualifications require a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, with at least 6 years’ experience in manufacturing OT infrastructure, automation architecture, and lifecycle management within regulated environments. Expertise in industrial networking (Cisco preferred), historian systems (OSI PI or similar), and automation platforms (e.g., DeltaV, PAS-X) is required. Experience with GMP manufacturing, greenfield or brownfield project support, and global standards is preferred. The position is based in Wilson, NC, with full-time onsite presence and frequent travel (>25%) to suppliers, integrators, and other Johnson & Johnson sites. The role demands strong leadership, stakeholder management, technical acumen, and troubleshooting skills in a highly automated pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
