Senior Automation Engineer, High-Throughput Screening

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain high-throughput screening systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and biologists to develop new automation workflows and platforms.
- Troubleshoot automated workflows, interpret data, and communicate findings to technical personnel.
- Use Python (or similar) for automation tasks.
- Support and guide technical personnel on automation equipment and systems.
- Stay current with advances in automation.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering or related field and 4+ yearsβ experience with laboratory automation equipment and automated systems for screening, compound handling, automated chemistry, or related applications (relevant PhD experience considered).
- Basic understanding of system scheduling software, databases, and script programming.
- Proficient, in-depth knowledge of Python (or similar).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for automated workflows.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts and findings to technical personnel; strong written and verbal communication.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with lab-in-the-loop or closed-loop systems.
- Chemistry automation expertise.
- Experience collaborating with engineers and scientists to develop new automation platforms.
Compensation & Benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $93,800β$174,200/year; final determined by skills/experience and reviewed periodically.
- Performance-based cash incentive; potential annual equity awards (level-dependent).
