Role: Automation Engineer supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing automation upgrades and system reliability within a biopharma setting. Responsibilities include leading automation upgrade projects, supporting new automation and software technology deployment, performing reliability analyses, troubleshooting PLCs and SCADA systems (notably Allen-Bradley and GE iFix), and ensuring compliance with data integrity principles. The engineer will develop system specifications, support validation activities, and provide instrumentation and maintenance support across production processes, including cell culture, harvest, and purification. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific field with minimum 4 years of automation experience, including pharmaceutical process systems; working knowledge of cGMP practices; and experience with automation platforms like Allen-Bradley PLCs and GE iFix SCADA. Preferred skills encompass project leadership, familiarity with DeltaV, OSI PI, SQL/Oracle, and industrial networks. The role requires collaboration across operations, maintenance, validation, and project teams, with a work location expected to be onsite 2-3 days/week in the U.S. The position offers a salary range of $99,200–$165,400 plus bonus, benefits, and potential relocation assistance.
