Senior Automation Engineer

Senior Automation Engineer — Typical day responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement software/hardware improvements to automated equipment and new equipment via change control procedures.
- Use PLCs and HMIs to provide technical support and solutions to Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Facilities per established SOPs.
- Troubleshoot and investigate manufacturing deviations/anomalies related to automated control systems.
- Develop and edit engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment following GAMP 5.
- Support small manufacturing, engineering, and validation projects.
- Support process control and process monitoring equipment software design, commissioning, testing, and corrective action.
- Author/update system specifications; develop user and functional requirements; generate and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) protocols.

Qualifications/requirements:
- BS in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience with process control/data acquisition systems may substitute.
- Experience designing and maintaining process control systems and/or data acquisition systems.
- Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs (limited experience may be considered).
- Some experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

Required/preferred skills/tools:
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Siemens control system products and video graphic chart recorders is ideal.
- Experience programming/troubleshooting DeltaV DCS is desirable.
