Senior Auditor, Compliance Internal Audit

Role Summary

Senior Auditor, Compliance Internal Audit at AbbVie. The role supports AbbVie’s Global Internal Audit function in delivering risk-based assurance and advisory services to internal stakeholders, senior management, and the Audit Committee of the Board. The auditor will execute audits in alignment with the Institute of Internal Audit standards and AbbVie policies, analyze data, and communicate findings to stakeholders across U.S. and international locations.

Responsibilities

• Internal Audit Key Pillar: Execution — execute audits and services in accordance with II A standards, AbbVie Code of Conduct, and internal policies; drive dialogue, analysis, and tools to assess and improve AbbVie’s control environment.
• Internal Audit Key Pillar: Engagement — engage with stakeholders respectfully and ethically, prioritizing AbbVie’s success and patient outcomes; foster trust, partnership, and respect within the team.
• Internal Audit Key Pillar: Development — develop audit team members, provide training opportunities, and upskill focus areas; sustain an environment of self and team development.
• Plan and execute audits of various processes/locations, both U.S. and international.
• Compile and analyze large data sets from multiple sources (e.g., SAP, payroll, compliance databases).
• Partner with peers to create a risk assessment analysis for proposed audits of entities, processes, or critical systems.
• Prepare and present audit findings to audit leadership and business stakeholders.
• Identify and communicate risk and control themes to stakeholders.
• Assist with investigations as requested.
• Demonstrate a high degree of soft/presentation skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with a major public accounting, consulting, or law firm in a client-facing capacity
• Broad knowledge and experience in FCPA and/or the healthcare industry
• Bachelor’s Degree. Professional certifications/degrees a plus: CIA, CPA, CFE, MBA, JD
• 15 – 35% travel to AbbVie’s international and U.S. locations required
• In office/face-to-face interaction at company
