Clinical Research and Development
Responsibilities:
- Support preclinical evaluation and early clinical development of vaccine candidates via immunogenicity assessment.
- Develop, optimize, and execute cellular and humoral immune assays; quantify antigen-specific B- and T-cell responses (flow cytometry phenotyping, ICS, ELISpot/FluoroSpot, etc.).
- Process mouse tissue (spleens, lymph nodes) and human/NHP PBMC samples for downstream assays.
- Perform multiparameter flow cytometry: design/optimize panels, operate Cytek Aurora, analyze data (FlowJo, FACS Suite, Diva, OMIQ), and present results.
- Manage sample/reagent lifecycle (receipt, accessioning, inventory, storage, chain-of-custody, preparation for testing).
- Maintain documentation and reporting per SOPs and regulatory expectations (e.g., cGLP/cGMP as required); keep laboratory records.
- Prepare summaries/presentations; communicate results and assay issues; propose assay improvements and help train/mentor.
Minimum requirements:
- BS (Immunology/Biology/Microbiology/Biochemistry or related) + 3+ years relevant lab experience, or MS + 2+ years.
- Hands-on cellular immunology and/or vaccine immunogenicity readouts (ELISpot/FluoroSpot, flow cytometry, ELISA, neutralization).
- Ability to execute, troubleshoot, and deliver high-quality data in deadline-driven settings.
- Proficiency with scientific software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, OMIQ) and clear experimental recordkeeping.
- Strong communication in cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
- Industry experience in vaccines/immunology/bioanalytical/translational.
- Multiplex cytokine assays (e.g., Luminex), multiplex/spectral flow, and/or assay qualification/validation.
- Regulated-environment experience (cGLP/cGMP) and documentation familiarity.
- Experience handling mouse tissue and human/NHP PBMCs; biosafety best practices.
Benefits/compensation (as stated):
- Base salary range: $68,600–$114,300; bonus target 7.5%.
