Senior Associate Scientist (Upstream Process Development)

What You Will Achieve
- Develop and optimize cell culture processes for producing biological therapeutics
- Design, plan, and execute experiments using shake flasks, bench-top bioreactors, and other scale-down equipment
- Conduct cell culture experiments to enhance protein production with mammalian expression platforms
- Assist in transferring manufacturing processes to pilot, clinical, and commercial facilities
- Present data and strategies to scientists and management at internal and external meetings
- Analyze and document experimental data in electronic laboratory notebooks and internal technical reports
- Evaluate data and provide detailed reports for cross-functional teams
- Complete required Good Laboratory Practices and safety training; adhere to departmental safety practices
- Collaborate with team members to achieve work group goals
- Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines; solve moderately complex problems with regular review
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelorβs with 2β4 years industrial experience, or Masterβs with 0β2 years in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Relevant laboratory research experience
- Ability to grasp scientific concepts, interpret complex data, and formulate new hypotheses
- Competency in aseptic laboratory technique; ability to design complex experiments and interpret data
- Proven collaboration and effective communication with scientists and management
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- Hands-on experience with ambr15/ambr250 high-throughput bioreactors
- Fed-batch/perfusion bioreactor operations and scale-up
- Process modeling and multivariate data analysis
- Python/workflow automation/app development tools
- Hands-on perfusion experience

Benefits/Compensation
- Base salary range: $68,600β$114,300; bonus target: 7.5% of base; eligible for Pfizer Global Performance Plan and listed benefits.
