Position Summary
Bench-facing research role focused on in-vitro techniques supporting translational biomarker work, indications, and assay development; interest in regulated protein turnover/stability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full-time laboratory-based translational research supporting preclinical and early-phase clinical trials.
- Participate on cross-site, cross-functional, global teams.
- Work with translational scientists across cell-based, in vivo, and clinical trial assays, samples, and data.
- Select, validate, and deploy novel clinical-stage assays and data analyses to accelerate development and inform disease biology/drug mechanisms.
- Test hypotheses from clinical observations in preclinical model systems.
- Review scientific papers/protocols and apply as appropriate.
- Execute collaborative projects with academic and commercial research groups worldwide.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree + 4+ years academic/industry experience; or Masterβs degree + 2+ years.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- B.S. (5+ years) or M.S. (3+ years), preferably industry and cancer biology.
- Hands-on in-vitro cellular/biochemical assays: 2D/3D cell culture (BSL2+); co-cultures/transfections/shRNA/CRISPR/CTG/IncuCyte; in-vivo sample processing (xenografts); RNA (qPCR, Nanostring); protein (Western, MSD, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, IP, HCS, IHC, fluorescent microscopy).
- Next-gen sequencing: RNA-seq, WES/WGS, ChIP-seq.
- Experimental design/execution/data analysis & troubleshooting; data mining (UCSC, DepMap, cBIO); software (GraphPad, E-notebook, MS Office, FlowJo).
