Role: Senior Associate Scientist in R&D Chemistry supporting Regeneron's small molecule antibody-conjugate drug discovery. Objectives include synthesizing novel small-molecule payloads and linkers for ADC therapeutics across multiple research areas such as oncology, infectious diseases, and immunology. Responsibilities involve executing multistep syntheses, compound isolation and characterization, troubleshooting, data analysis, and proposing synthetic strategies. The role requires cross-functional collaboration and contribution to project progression. Qualifications: M.Sc. in synthetic organic chemistry or related field; 5-7+ years industry experience in small-molecule drug discovery; proficiency in retrosynthetic analysis, modern organic synthesis techniques, spectral data interpretation, and biologically active compound synthesis. Preferred: familiarity with antibody-conjugate linkers, peptidomimetics, or targeted therapeutics, and understanding of target validation and ADME/PK. High-value specifics include biologics, novel genetic medicines, and antibody-drug conjugates across therapeutic areas. Work setup involves laboratory-based activities with collaborative interactions within a highly integrated team environment.
