Senior Associate Scientist - Process Development

Role: Senior Associate Scientist in Early Bioprocess Development within Pfizer's Vaccines organization, focusing on advancing protein subunit vaccine processes. Responsibilities: optimize cell line development for improved expression and productivity, execute fermentation studies to assess key performance metrics, analyze data to establish correlations between genetic inputs and protein yields, and present findings to cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include maintaining precise records, authoring technical reports, and contributing to scientific publications. Requirements: B.S. in bioengineering, biochemistry, or related fields with 3-5 years of industry or research experience, or M.S. with 0-3 years; hands-on expertise in aseptic cell culture, molecular biology techniques, flow cytometry, and data analysis. Preferred: experience with bioreactor operation, NGS platforms, and vaccine-related processes. High-value specifics: vaccine development, protein subunit modality, cell culture and fermentation, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. Work is onsite in a highly technical, collaborative environment.
