Senior Associate Scientist – Plate-Based Analytical Assays – Transitional and Early Development

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and customized research-stage plate assays (receptor blocking ELISAs, quantitative ELISAs, AC-SINS, PEG precipitation) to screen hit mAbs and other biomolecules.
- Develop, optimize, and qualify quantitative ELISAs for lead candidate molecules; ensure early robustness for successful tech transfer to Analytical Development at Pipeline Entry.
- Design, source, and evaluate tool reagents (capture/detection antibodies, recombinant target proteins) for customized ligand-binding assays.
- Analyze large datasets using statistical/graphing software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, JMP); document in ELNs; author technical reports.
- Interface with Discovery Research and Analytical Development teams to align assay strategies with project milestones.
- Evaluate and implement new plate-based technologies and high-throughput automation to improve screening efficiency and data quality.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: B.S. or M.S. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or closely related field.
- Experience: B.S. with 4+ years, or M.S. with 2+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience in assay development and/or early research screening.
- Skills: Hands-on ligand-binding assay development/optimization/troubleshooting (especially ELISAs); ability to design/evaluate tool reagents; strong analytical problem-solving and quick learning; excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AC-SINS and PEG precipitation stability screening.
- Knowledge of requirements to transition early assays into validate-able late-stage Analytical Development/Quality Control methods.
- Experience with automated liquid handlers/high-throughput plate reading.
- Strong protein biochemistry and mAb/multi-specific biologics background.
- Experience using Design of Experiments (DoE) for assay optimization.
