Role: Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist (Nucleic Acid Therapeutics; oligonucleotide therapeutics such as siRNAs and antisense oligonucleotides)
Responsibilities:
- Develop assays to enable high-throughput oligonucleotide library screening and execute high-throughput screening of hundreds to thousands of candidate molecules.
- Perform assay and experimental activities including: cell culture optimization, bDNA, RT-qPCR, cell line generation, transfection optimization, probe design and compatibility testing, western blot, and related work.
Qualifications:
- Work with automated or semi-automated processes; experience with liquid handlers (e.g., KindFisher, QuantStudio desired).
- Knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry and RNA biology (plus).
- Independently executes and refines techniques/technologies with general guidance.
- Multi-tasks and shifts priorities based on communicated department needs.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–4 years’ Master’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of industrial experience in a relevant field highly appreciated.
