Role Summary
Senior Associate Scientist to join the Keloid and Fibrosis Team in RegeneronβΓΓ΄s Cardiovascular and Renal Research group. This is a lab-based role focused on target discovery and validation, building in vitro and in vivo models to evaluate keloid and fibrosis targets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in vitro experiments and run molecular biology, immunological, and cell-based assays (western blot, qRT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, ELISAs, etc.).
- Manage in vivo mouse models, perform injections (intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, intravenous), surgeries, and tissue dissections.
- Manage intake for human tissue samples and isolate primary cells from these samples for in vitro assays and single-cell analysis.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology or related field and at least 3 years of relevant research experience.
- Preferred: Experience in skin research and/or fibrosis/fibroblast biology; prior work with mouse models; expertise in primary cell culture/in vitro models; understanding of single-cell transcriptomics; excellent analytical and communication skills; demonstrated experience with molecular biology techniques; ability to work effectively with others; industry experience is advantageous but not required.
