Job Responsibilities:
- Perform analyses on radioisotopes (specifically radiometals) using ICP-MS, HPGe, radio TLC, and other modalities as deemed necessary (HPGe interpretation highly preferred).
- Assist in technology transfer of analysis methods for radioisotope production.
- Work with production teams to schedule testing based on production needs.
- Perform analysis of finished radiopharmaceutical products as needed.
- Write and review laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related documents.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment/materials; support qualification and maintenance activities; onboard new instrumentation as required.
- Troubleshoot and investigate analytical issues; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain documentation, particularly data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GMP regulations, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Work with the RSO to ensure laboratory compliance with radiation safety programs.
- Provide technical support to other teams/business units as required.
- Support offsite vendors and RayzeBio MS&T and RA/QA teams with installation and qualification of laboratory equipment in a GMP environment.
- Mentor junior chemists as necessary.
- First-shift salaried role; work outside first shift as needed.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.

Education & Experience:
- BS in Chemistry (or related) with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or radioisotope field.
- MS in Chemistry (or related) with 3-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or radioisotope field.
- Experience handling radioactive materials (essential).
- Required: experience testing in a quality control chemistry lab.

Skills (Required/Preferred):
- Set and maintain a radiation safety culture via communication with internal/external stakeholders.
- Required: experience with radiopharmaceuticals and/or radioactive isotopes; strongly preferred: elements in the actinide series (other alpha emitters considered).
- GMP knowledge/experience.
- Root cause techniques preferred: 6 M’s, 5 Why’s, fishbone, or similar.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize work.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and chromatography systems.
- Professional ethics, integrity, and ability to maintain confidential information.

- Indianapolis - RayzeBio - IN $82,236 - $99,650.
