Position Summary:
Senior Associate Scientist, Engineered Cell Therapy Discovery to advance next-generation CAR T and eTCR therapies for cancer and chronic diseases. Apply immunological knowledge and experimental rigor to design/execute functional assays, support screening of engineered T cell constructs, interpret large biological datasets, develop assay platforms, evaluate engineered cell function in biological models, and communicate data-driven recommendations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and interpret studies of engineered T cell CAR/eTCR constructs, novel payloads/gene editing across biological conditions.
- Contribute to automated/enhanced screening strategies for candidate prioritization.
- Perform mechanistic, multiparametric immune profiling (activation, exhaustion, memory, effector phenotypes).
- Analyze complex cellular/molecular/functional assay datasets for trends, hypothesis generation, and follow-up.
- Develop/optimize quantitative assays; ensure robustness and reproducibility.
- Generate and cryopreserve CAR T and eTCR T cells with complex genetic engineering.
- Perform phenotypic/functional analysis using flow cytometry, IncuCyte, MSD, and related methods.
- Troubleshoot evolving approaches/technologies; collaborate cross-functionally; maintain electronic notebooks.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree + 4+ years academic/industry experience, OR Masterโs degree + 2+ years academic/industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong immunology/biological sciences/bioengineering knowledge.
- Quantitative in vitro assay development and decision-making (drug development strongly desired).
- Automation/liquid handling in high-throughput screening strongly desired.
- Complex dataset analysis/visualization (e.g., JMP, R) preferred.
- Strong MSD, IncuCyte, multiparameter flow, and/or high-content imaging preferred.
- Experience generating/expanding/characterizing/cryopreserving CAR T/eTCR T; antibody discovery/molecular biology preferred.
- Excellent documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication.
