Position Summary
Senior Associate Scientist to join Engineered Cell Therapy Discovery and advance next-generation CAR T and eTCR therapies for patients with cancer and other chronic diseases.

Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and interpret functional assays evaluating engineered T cell CAR/eTCR constructs and novel payloads/gene editing across biological conditions.
- Support screening of engineered T cell constructs and functional responses (including automation where applicable) to enable candidate prioritization.
- Perform mechanistic studies using multiparametric immune profiling (activation, exhaustion, memory, effector phenotypes).
- Analyze complex cellular/molecular/functional datasets to identify trends, support hypothesis generation, guide follow-up, and prioritize candidates.
- Develop/optimize quantitative assays; ensure robustness and reproducibility.
- Generate and cryopreserve CAR T and eTCR T cells with complex genetic engineering.
- Perform phenotypic/functional analysis using flow cytometry, IncuCyte, MSD, and other methods; communicate insights.
- Troubleshoot new approaches/technologies; collaborate cross-functionally; maintain electronic notebooks.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree with 4+ years academic and/or industry experience, OR Masterโ€™s degree with 2+ years academic and/or industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- Strong knowledge of biological sciences/immunology/bioengineering.
- Quantitative in vitro assays for decision-making; automation in high-throughput screening (liquid handling).
- Data analysis/visualization (JMP, R, or similar); experience with multiparametric flow cytometry/high-content platforms.
- Proficiency with MSD and IncuCyte assays, multi-parameter flow cytometry, and/or high-content imaging.
- Experience generating/expanding/characterizing/cryopreserving CAR T/eTCR; antibody discovery/molecular biology (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits (explicit)
- Seattle, WA: $102,570โ€“$124,290 (FTE). Additional incentive opportunities may be available.
