Senior Associate Project Manager (Global Capital Project Management)
What You Will Do
- Support and lead high priority projects in Thousand Oaks, including implementation of projects within the Site Master Plan.
- Assist in preparing and delivering recommendations to senior management, and development of reports and other documents.
- Set agendas, conduct project meetings, write meeting minutes.
- Create and maintain project plans and timelines; identify and resolve cross-functional issues.
- Identify and focus the team on critical path activities.
Successful candidates will demonstrate
- Strong project leadership (manage diverse teams), including conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Ability to balance tactical and strategic planning.
- Strong quantitative/analytical problem-solving skills.
- Manage ambiguity; interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Prioritize across multiple projects; working knowledge of project management principles/practices.
- Word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet skills.
- Understand key priorities and inter-dependencies; monitor progress and timelines.
- Identify issues; conduct risk management/scenario planning with contingency plans.
- Identify/escalate budget/resource gaps and facilitate resolution.
- Drive implementation of decisions; facilitate resource planning, financial/capacity assessments.
- Partner with finance to manage team budget as appropriate; escalate program issues.
- Manage initial and ongoing communication of plans.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree, OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of project management experience, OR
- Associate’s degree + 6 years of project management experience, OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years of project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
