Senior Associate Scientist, Pharmacometrics

Position Summary
- Optimize, automate, and scale data workflows supporting drug development; turn complex manual analytical processes into efficient, reproducible, well-engineered systems.
- Learn PK/PD and pharmacometrics concepts on the job (PK/PD modeling experience not required).

Responsibilities
- Streamline data cleaning, transformation, and QC to improve reproducibility, traceability, and robustness.
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable, well-documented code, libraries, and utilities in R and/or Python.
- Create interactive tools or dashboards (e.g., Shiny, Dash).
- Apply software engineering best practices (version control, testing, modular design).
- Support and maintain a secure working environment (communicate user needs to vendor; collaborate with IT/vendor on change controls).
- Support PK/PD and exposureโ€“response analyses with pharmacometricians; translate scientific requirements into computational solutions.
- Partner with Clinical Pharmacology and Statistics; support data standards, organization, and metadata; communicate clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues.

Qualifications
- MS in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
- Strong R and/or Python programming background.
- Experience optimizing, automating, or scaling data analysis workflows.
- Experience with complex scientific/real-world datasets.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and analytical best practices.
- Exposure to regulated environments and audit-ready workflows (pharmacometrics/biomedical/clinical data is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- U.S. Pay Range: $91,000.00 - $123,000.00; eligible for annual short-term incentive and annual long-term incentive.
