Summary
Senior Application Engineer (AI Venture Studio). Build secure cloud-hosted applications (including agentic AI products) and knowledge/context infrastructure. Design APIs, services, deployment pipelines, semantic-layer evolution, and agent runtimes enabling fast MVP delivery with reliability, observability, security, and enterprise alignment.
Responsibilities
- Design/build/operate backend services and APIs powering AI Accelerator products.
- Develop Python/FastAPI or TypeScript/Node services integrating LLM APIs, retrieval, workflow engines, and enterprise systems.
- Run 6 two-week sprints (12-week cycle) to build/test/validate agentic AI and cloud increments for MVP scaling.
- Build MCP/FastMCP read-write-search APIs, permissioned knowledge stores, audit trails, access controls, and AWS integrations.
- Implement secure authn/authz patterns (BMS SSO/Cloud Creds), secrets management, validation, and safe service boundaries.
- Build LangGraph agent workflows, retrieval/memory/context services, semantic layers, and AWS “golden paths.”
- Create CI/CD and IaC, instrument reliability/cost/usage/tracing, add quality/security/guardrail gates, and support sandboxed agent execution.
Qualifications
- BS+ in CS/Engineering/Science or related; 5+ years backend/cloud/platform engineering.
- AWS-native development (S3, RDS/PostgreSQL, Athena, Redis, OpenSearch, Fargate, Lambda, IAM, VPC).
- Proficient in Python/FastAPI and/or TypeScript/Node.
- Containers, CI/CD, GitHub workflows, testing, and IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK/CloudFormation).
- Experience with LLM/RAG/agentic AI (LangGraph/LangChain and similar); MCP/FastMCP; semantic layers/SQL.
- Practical experience integrating approved frontier LLMs via enterprise channels (OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini/Bedrock).
