Summary/Role
- Hands-on senior engineer building secure AWS-hosted backend applications for AI Accelerator products, including agentic AI and cross-functional knowledge/context infrastructure.
- Build, test, validate MVP increments through six 2-week sprints over a 12-week agile cycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Design/build/operate backend services & APIs (Python/FastAPI, TypeScript/Node) integrating LLM APIs, retrieval, workflow engines, and enterprise systems.
- Develop MCP-accessible read/write/search services and permissioned knowledge stores (markdown/YAML), with version control, audit trails, access controls.
- Implement authn/authz security patterns (SSO, credentials, secrets, input validation, safe service boundaries).
- Build agent workflows with LangGraph (multi-agent orchestration, tool execution, checkpoints) and governed enterprise tool integrations.
- Deliver retrieval/memory/context using AWS-aligned stores (S3, Athena, RDS/PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, vector search, Neptune).
- Create CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability and AI evaluation/guardrails; improve MVP readiness and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications
- BS+ in CS/Engineering/Science (or related).
- 5+ years software/cloud/backend/platform engineering with increasing responsibility.
- Strong Python/FastAPI or TypeScript/Node; AWS-native development.
- Experience with containers, CI/CD, automated testing, IaC (Terraform/CDK/CloudFormation).
- LLM/RAG/agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph/LangChain, etc.) and MCP/FastMCP.
- Knowledge of SQL/semantic layers, data-context grounding from unstructured sources, sandboxed/provenance/audit patterns.
- Experience integrating frontier LLMs via enterprise channels (e.g., OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini/Bedrock).
- Clear communication; comfortable in fast-moving cross-functional agile teams.

Compensation Overview (FTE)
- Cambridge Crossing: $151,280–$183,319; Seattle: $151,280–$183,319; Madison–Giralda (NJ): $137,530–$166,654; Princeton (NJ): $137,530–$166,654.
