Senior Analytical Scientist – Analytical Sciences and Technology - Lilly Medicine Foundry

Role: Senior Analytical Scientist supporting drug substance processes at Lilly's new Medicine Foundry, focusing on analytical method transfer, development, and PAT strategy implementation for synthetic molecules, biologics, and bioconjugates. Responsibilities: collaborate across R&D and manufacturing to optimize analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, LC-MS, spectroscopy), drive technology integration, and support GMP operations. Serve as SME, develop technical documentation, and ensure compliance with quality/regulatory standards. Requirements: B.S. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related STEM with 8+ years (or M.S. with 5+ years) of analytical characterization experience, including chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques; authorized to work in the U.S. The role demands strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with GMP and process validation. Preferred: extensive experience with analytical method transfer into GMP, hands-on development/validation of methods for synthetic and biologic drug substances, and familiarity with PAT tools. High-value biopharma specifics: supporting process transfer and scale-up of synthetic and biologic drug substances in a pioneering integrated manufacturing and R&D environment, during construction and startup phases. Location: Indianapolis-based, onsite, with minimal travel (~0-10%).
