Operations
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform polymorphism studies for synthetic molecules (polymorph screening, physical characterization, thermodynamic assessment).
- Design and conduct salt selection studies (salt screening, physical characterization, stability assessment).
- Serve as solid-state representative on development projects and deploy solid-form selection strategy in collaboration with Crystallization, Biopharm, and Chemistry.
- Develop and implement analytical methods using XRPD, DSC, TGA, SEM, Raman, IR, and laser granulometry.
- Provide solid-state physical characterization support to internal partner teams (e.g., XRPD, PDS).
- Use computational tools for Crystal Structure Prediction.
- Independently generate technical reports.
- Build collaborations within and between analytical groups.
- Introduce innovative analytical approaches (including automation and AI/modeling integration).
- Promote scientific excellence through presentations and publications.

Qualifications:
- PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, material science, or related field with at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in a pharma/biopharma environment.

Experience & Technical Skills:
- In-depth experience with solid-state characterization instruments: XRPD, DSC, TGA.
- Expertise in polymorphism/salt selection and powder/particle properties.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical solid-state properties.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SEM, Raman, IR, or laser granulometry.
- Expertise in crystallography and computational prediction; sc-XRD crystal structure resolution.
- Experience with crystallization of synthetic molecules (process, single-crystal growth).
- Established scientific network in industry and academia.
