Role Summary

Senior Analyst on the Compliance HR Operations team, operating globally within HR Shared Services. Partners across the HR Operations landscape, works with cross-functional stakeholders enterprise-wide, and engages auditors to ensure consistent and timely execution of HR processes, data governance, and internal controls. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with emphasis on HR and Payroll audits, compliance initiatives, internal controls, and operational improvements. Brings a strong foundation in HR Compliance, Shared Services, SOX Controls, HRIS, global payroll operations, and a heavy audit background with potential for broader enterprise and cross-functional growth over time.

Responsibilities

  • Execute HR Compliance activities related to audit, internal controls, employee documentation, and data validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and quality of standards.
  • Champion employee data privacy and protection requirements in documentation, data handling, and audit evidence, escalating data privacy risks or gaps as appropriate.
  • Maintain strong communication with management to align compliance with operational execution and escalate issues as needed.
  • Lead and manage internal and external audits related to HR, Payroll, and Internal Control, including walkthroughs, documentation management, SOX controls, and engagement with auditors and stakeholders.
  • Review internal controls for adherence to standards, communicate findings, and drive corrective actions.
  • Act as subject matter expert on audit processes, internal controls, and SOX compliance, providing guidance to control owners, reviewers, and performers.
  • Identify and assess risks to existing controls or processes, system changes, or tools.
  • Perform advanced analytics and reporting, consolidating data to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence on change, process documentation, and procedures to support compliance, audit readiness, and efficiency.
  • Work independently with performance judged by results, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Participate in projects and optimization initiatives, including standardization, documentation updates, and automation efforts.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Required: 4–6 years of experience in HR Compliance, Shared Services, HRIS, global payroll operations, or audit in a related field.
  • Required: Experience in large, geographically dispersed organizations with cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Required: Proactive multitasking and ability to influence across departments in high-pressure environments.
  • Required: Proficiency in data analytics and MS tools to drive data-driven decisions and deliver actionable insights.
  • Required: Experience with HRIS and Payroll systems, familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), financial reporting tools, and eGRC platforms.
  • Required: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Required: Proficiency in Excel, Smartsheet, and Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, Power Automate); strong problem-solving to interpret large data sets.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Preferred: Background in internal audit, public accounting, FP&A, or compliance.
  • Preferred: Exposure to SOX 404, COSO Framework, and compliance fundamentals—control documentation, audit walkthroughs, or testing coordination.
  • Preferred: Certifications related to the field are a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (Preferred).
