Role: AI/ML Engineering leader within Vaccines Research, focusing on transforming diverse scientific data into an AI-ready ecosystem to accelerate vaccine discovery. Responsibilities: design and implement integrated data architectures connecting heterogeneous datasets; develop automated pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and standardization; establish semantic data frameworks, metadata standards, and knowledge graphs; lead development of predictive models leveraging multimodal datasets for vaccine response insights; and drive AI adoption and scientific innovation through emerging technologies like foundation models and generative AI. Collaborate with scientists, bioinformaticians, and digital teams to ensure data interoperability and support translational modeling, immunology, and infectious disease research. Qualifications: PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, or related fields, or Master’s with 4+ years of applied AI/ML experience in life sciences or discovery research; proficiency in Python and AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow); experience with data architectures, knowledge graphs, and cloud/computing environments; strong cross-functional communication skills. Preferred: experience with life sciences data standards (FAIR), immunology, multi-omics, vaccine datasets, and advanced AI models such as foundation or generative AI. Work setup: hybrid, requiring onsite presence ~2.5 days/week in the U.S. Salary range: $139,100–$231,900, with bonus and long-term incentives.
