Role: Senior AI Software Developer leading the development of scalable AI architecture, transitioning research code into production-grade systems within an internal incubator. Responsibilities: architecting and implementing real-time inference, reasoning, and simulation components; optimizing concurrency, memory, and distributed processing; collaborating with researchers on mathematical models; ensuring behavioral and performance fidelity between research prototypes and production; profiling and improving system performance; establishing modular interfaces and operational pipelines for cloud and on-prem environments; mentoring junior developers and contributing to patents/publications. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field; 10+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in productionizing research or algorithm-intensive systems; proficiency in Python, and experience with Rust or C++ at scale; familiarity with AI methods such as neural-symbolic systems, causal reasoning, reinforcement learning, and simulation; experience designing concurrent, parallel, and distributed architectures; familiarity with CI/CD, containerization, and software testing. Preferred: exposure to symbolic AI, cognitive architectures, or machine learning environments. High-Value: AI/ML, research-to-production pipelines, real-time inference, cloud and edge deployment, collaborative research environment. Location: onsite in Maplewood, MN; travel up to 5%; relocation possible.
