Responsibilities:
- Support the definition and execution of the Data & Analytics vision (“Data as a Product”), ensuring scalability.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to align data models and pipelines to long-term BI and AI/ML goals.
- Modernize the data ecosystem to reduce technical debt and improve accessibility and data quality.
- Ensure data governance, privacy, and security are built into every stage of the data lifecycle.
- Bridge Product Management (“what”), Engineering (“how”), and Data Science/BI (“so what”).
- Work with IT and Information Security to ensure data platforms are robust, compliant, and performant.
- Partner with business units to anticipate analytical needs and deliver ROI-driving data solutions.
- Advise delivery teams across the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with the D&A strategy.
- Stay current on trends in Data Engineering, Agentic AI, and modern data stack architectures.
- Manage relationships with data vendors/consortia; provide external thought leadership.
- Coach/mentor the D&A community; support recruitment and talent programs; identify skill gaps and development paths.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years in technology leadership in Data & Analytics/Enterprise Insights.
- 7+ years across the data lifecycle (data engineering, warehousing, BI tools, data science integration).
- Experience leading product-centric teams delivering data products to production.
- 7+ years with public cloud data architectures (Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks).
- 3+ years integrating AI/ML.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical senior leaders.
- Strong negotiation/facilitation in global matrix organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Generative AI & LLMs.
- Graduate work/additional certifications in Data Science and/or DAMA/DMBOK.
