Ardelyx is a publicly traded commercial biopharmaceutical company founded with a mission to discover, develop and commercialize innovative first-in-class medicines that meet significant unmet medical needs. Ardelyx has agreements for the development and commercialization of tenapanor outside of the U.S. Kyowa Kirin commercializes PHOZEVEL (tenapanor) for hyperphosphatemia in Japan. A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Administrative Assistant to support key leaders within our Medical Affairs group. This role will provide direct administrative support to the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and other Medical Affairs leadership team members. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and possesses strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct all administrative and operational activities for the Medical Affairs Leadership Team (MALT)
- Support organizational needs, including proactively responding to meeting requests, organizing and supporting day-to-day activities, coordinating meetings, travel, etc.
- Prepare and manage expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, SVP, Medical Affairs, as well as other MALT members as needed
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and follow-through on action items
- Support cross-functional projects by tracking deadlines, organizing materials, and facilitating team coordination
- Maintain and update databases, contact lists, and other administrative systems
- Assist in the preparation and formatting of presentations, reports, and other key documents, as needed
- Support contract management submissions, as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree preferred with 4+ years of administrative support experience, preferably in a high-growth biopharma, healthcare, or life sciences environment or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to support multiple executives with competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail ability to think proactively and prioritize work
- Exceptional communication skills with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with expense and travel management systems
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and anticipate needs proactively
- Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information
- Adaptability and a strong team-oriented mindset
Compensation
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $49 - $59 per hour. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
