About The Role
Senior Accountant supporting corporate accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, SOX 404 compliance, and serving as a subject matter resource.

Responsibilities
Stock-Based Compensation
- Own end-to-end stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718 (expense recognition, forfeitures, modifications, settlements).
- Prepare, review, and analyze equity compensation schedules and roll forwards; ensure accuracy for period-end close.
- Provide subject matter guidance on equity compensation to cross-functional partners (HR, Legal, Payroll).
- Lead preparation/review of equity-related SEC disclosures (footnotes and supporting documentation).
- Identify and implement process improvements/automation in equity accounting workflows.

SEC Reporting & Workiva Support
- Prepare and review assigned quarterly/annual SEC filing sections (Forms 10-Q, 10-K) for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Own tie-out processes to align financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain/enhance Workiva processes (roll forwards, document integrity, tagging support, version control).
- Partner with stakeholders to improve reporting timelines and disclosure quality.

SOX 404 Compliance
- Support and execute SOX 404 compliance (documentation, testing, evaluation of business process and IT-dependent controls).
- Serve as key contact for assigned controls during internal/external audits.
- Identify control gaps and develop remediation plans with stakeholders.
- Improve internal control processes and documentation.

Corporate Insurance Support
- Lead accounting/reporting support for annual corporate insurance renewals (D&O, EPLI, cyber, general liability), including data collection, schedule prep, broker coordination.
- Maintain insurance documentation, policies, and certificates.
- Support international clinical trial placement/coverage.
- Support accounting for insurance premiums and related accruals.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred).
- 4+ years relevant experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; ASC 718 and SEC reporting required.
- Exposure to SOX 404 compliance and audit support.
- Experience with Workiva or other SEC reporting tools preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
- Effective communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven collaboration and ability to influence outcomes.
- Continuous improvement mindset focused on process optimization/efficiency.
