Position Overview
- Senior Accountant to join corporate accounting team in a public company environment.
- Responsible for key aspects of monthly/quarterly close, balance sheet integrity, financial reporting support, and internal control execution to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) compliant internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
- Ensure general ledger integrity and underlying financial data (classification, cut-off, U.S. GAAP compliance).
- Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement analyses; identify trends/variances and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accounting-relevant information is processed timely with high-quality documentation.
- Support timely completion of close activities per reporting calendar.
- Maintain consistency between internal records and external reporting outputs.
- Draft/compile schedules for internal financial reporting packages.
- Support external audit and quarterly review requests (audit selections, PBC requests, control testing).
- Support control environment (SOX 404) via documentation and testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Support adoption/implementation of new accounting standards, policies, and process changes.
- Assist with special/ad-hoc accounting and reporting projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting or finance; CPA license a plus.
- Public accounting and/or public company industry experience strongly preferred.
- 3–6+ years relevant experience; at least 2 years on an accounting/financial reporting team at a publicly traded company (life sciences preferred).
- Strong Excel skills (large datasets, reconciliations, analysis).
- ERP experience.
- Strong written/verbal communication; ability to document and explain accounting matters.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.

Salary Range
- $100,000 USD - $109,000 USD
