Essential Job Functions
- Prepare monthly/quarterly journal entries for prepaids, depreciation of fixed assets, capitalized software, and commercial and G&A accruals.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations (bank, prepaids, fixed assets, long-term assets, G&A/commercial accrued contracts, software capitalization, etc.).
- Collaborate with business owners/functional leaders to collect contract and project progress info for timely, accurate accruals.
- Analyze contracts; capture capitalized software and fixed assets.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses.
- Support monthly close (trial balance and reporting).
- Review invoice and purchase order coding for assigned departments.
- Prepare and submit property tax filings and ad hoc reporting.
- Ensure GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Support financial/SOX reviews and audits (gather info; prepare schedules).
- Oversee quarterly related party updates (inquiries, memo updates, transactional JEs/analysis).
- Oversee/review R&D by location reporting for taxes and census.
- Perform other duties/ad hoc projects for Finance.

Job Specifications / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting (or related) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years relevant accounting experience (monthly close, bank/balance sheet reconciliations, contract accruals).
- Strong communication, confidentiality; interfaces with all levels.
- US GAAP and public-company internal control knowledge.
- ERP required; NetSuite/Blackline/Coupa/Concur preferred.
- Intermediate–advanced Excel; strong analytical/detail-oriented.
- Strong time management; can manage multiple priorities.
- Public company and life sciences experience preferred.

Compensation / Benefits (as stated)
- Base range: $100,000–$122,000; bonus, equity, and generous benefits package; 401K + employer contributions; 20 days PTO; paid parental leave.
