Semi Truck Driver- 2nd shift

Role Summary

Semi Truck Driver for 2nd shift at Perrigo. Responsible for safe transport of raw materials, components, and finished goods between local Perrigo sites using the internal fleet of tractors and trailers. 2nd shift hours: 5pm-1am or 4pm-12am.

Responsibilities

• Operate company equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company policy, traffic laws, and DOT regulations.
• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between Perrigo campuses within the Allegan, Holland, and Grand Rapids area; additional runs to service partner facilities in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo may be assigned.
• Promptly respond to trailer move requests and maintain the prescribed number of empty trailers at each location.
• Interact professionally with Perrigo employees, service providers, and the public.
• Perform duties in a self-directed manner with minimal supervisory oversight.
• Participate in DOT random Alcohol and Drug screening as required to maintain compliance.
• Inspect trucks and trailers regularly; report any issues and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed (oil levels, antifreeze, hoses, DEF, fuses, minor repairs).
• Liaise with trucking contract companies for repairs, tire replacements, preventive maintenance, and related matters.
• Comply with Hours of Service regulations; RODS logging is not required for this role.

Qualifications

• Required: Valid CDL Class A license.
• Required: Ability to pass a DOT physical and random substance abuse screening.
• Required: Violation-free MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse query.
