The IT Security Operations Specialist will support Global Security Operations activities including prevention, detection, and response to IT security incidents worldwide, including monitoring of alerts, investigating alerts, incident response, vulnerability response, threat intelligence, and digital forensics.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementation of IT security strategy and serve as a security advisor to ensure IT systems meet highest security standards.
- Perform technical risk and vulnerability assessments at the network, system, and application level; develop and implement security controls and operational risk mitigations.
- Provide technical solutions for complex security event analysis, vulnerability assessment, and reporting.
- Provide guidance and training; assist with leading projects to develop and implement processes/programs.
- Leverage knowledge of networking, operating systems, application architecture, cloud, log management, SIEM, SOAR, case management, and investigative techniques.
- Operate tools for vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, intrusion detection/prevention, network analysis, log management, SIEM, and SOAR.
- Support operations via procurement/renewals, licensing, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and IT Security planning/budgeting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Security (advanced degree preferred) or relevant experience.
- Minimum 6 years progressively responsible relevant experience.
- Experience with MS Defender for Incident Response.
- Experience with incident response and digital forensics (required).
- Ability to lead process/technology projects; strong attention to detail; ability to develop global relationships.
- Vendor-neutral certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, GCIH); Microsoft/AWS certifications desirable.
