Role: Automation Scientist supporting drug discovery in the Data, AI & Genome Sciences team at a biopharma research lab, focusing on advanced automation platforms for molecular and genomic assays. Responsibilities: develop, optimize, and validate high-throughput automation workflows for single-cell sequencing, CRISPR screens, and multi-omic assays; collaborate with biologists, data analysts, and stakeholders to enable reproducible, scalable data generation; troubleshoot systems, analyze experimental data, and communicate findings to senior leadership. Requirements: Masterβs in engineering or life sciences, or Bachelor's with 3+ years in laboratory automation; extensive hands-on experience with laboratory automation systems (e.g., Biomek, Hamilton, Echo), high-throughput genomics (single-cell RNA-seq, Olink HT, CRISPR screens), and molecular biology techniques; proficiency in designing and executing large-scale automated protocols; strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred: experience in genomic technologies, automation validation, and cross-functional collaboration.
