Scientist, Targeted LNP Delivery
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and innovative scientist to join our LNP group to expand delivery to extra-hepatic tissues of interest. The candidate will innovate and develop LNP delivery solutions suitable for clinical development. The successful candidate will have strong background in nanoparticles with a creative mindset, independent problem-solving ability, collaborative, and desire to enable discoveries at the bench.
This lab-based position is onsite and will be primarily located at 675 W Kendall St, Cambridge, MA 02142.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize LNP composition and develop and implement ligand bioconjugation strategies with various ligands.
- Troubleshoot and develop analytical methods to screen LNPs for a desired phenotype.
- Work closely with broader platform teams to develop project plans and coordinate activities.
- Analyze, interpret, and organize data to prepare clearly articulated experimental reports and communicate the results of the projects to cross-functional teams.
- Maintain electronic lab notebook, SOPs, appropriate documentation for scientific data and experimental protocols.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline with 1-2 years of industrial or post-doctoral experience with a focus on LNP formulation and delivery systems.
- Direct experience in LNP formulation (in-line mixing or TFF), characterization (DLS, NTA, zeta potential, UV/fluorescence spectroscopy, HPLC, UPLC, ribogreen assay, capillary electrophoresis, gel electrophoresis, etc.), mRNA and siRNA encapsulation, and bioconjugation is required.
- Experience in targeted LNP or antibody conjugation/post-insertion will be desirable.
- Experience in lipid chemistry and synthesis will be plus.
- Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver conclusive results.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new priorities with responsibility in a fast-paced, dynamic, innovative environment.
- Goal oriented, highly organized with significant attention to detail while maintaining highest scientific and ethical standards.
