Primary Activities:
- Programmatically develop, validate and maintain datasets, tables, listings, and figures
- Assure deliverable quality and compliance with departmental SOPs and good programming practices
- Collaborate effectively with project team members including outsource provider staff
Responsibilities:
- Gather and interpret user requirements for programming requests; retrieve required data; transform data into analysis/modeling datasets
- Develop tables, listings and figures according to statistical/modeling analysis plans
- Write programs to analyze data with statistical methods not available in commercial software
- Partner with statisticians, PK modelers, and other stakeholders to solve problems and improve efficiency/compliance
Required Education:
- BA/BS in Computer/Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field + 2+ years SAS/R programming in a clinical trial setting
- OR MS in related field
Required Skills/Experience:
- Interpersonal skills to negotiate and collaborate; strong written/oral/presentation skills
- Knowledge/experience developing R&D analysis and reporting deliverables (data, analyses, tables, graphics, listings)
- Ability to complete tasks at a project level and collaborate with stakeholders
Position-Specific Required Skills/Experience:
- Solid SAS or R programming for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting
- Ability to learn new techniques (including Gen AI), data structures, and data standards
- Ability to work with non-standard data in exploratory environments; identify data issues and understand complex structures
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Open-source languages (e.g., Python) and Gen AI experience
- Comprehend analysis plans; statistical concepts
- Reporting processes (SOPs) and SDLC; CDISC SDTM/ADaM
- Ability/interest to work across cultures and geographies
