Role: Scientist, Solid Tumor CAR-T (Research and Development), Philadelphia, PA
Role Overview:
- Advance CAR-T cell therapies for solid tumors; drive preclinical development from construct design through animal model efficacy studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute in vitro CAR-T functional assays.
- Perform phenotypic analysis of T cell differentiation, activation, and memory subsets.
- Evaluate CAR-T trafficking and tumor infiltration in vivo using flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.
- Handle and engineer human and murine T cells and cancer cells.
- Engineer and maintain cancer cell lines for model development.
- Analyze/interpret data, troubleshoot, and maintain detailed experimental records.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- PhD in Immunology, Immuno-Oncology, or closely related discipline; up to 3 years postdoctoral experience.
- Scientist in Immunology, Immuno-Oncology, Tumor Immunology, Cancer Biology, or related field.
- Strongly encouraged if PhD completed within past 3 years.
- Primary human T cell isolation, activation, lentiviral transduction, and expansion.
- Multicolor flow cytometry (panel design; acquisition on Attune/Novocyte/Cytek Aurora; FlowJo analysis).
- Molecular biology: PCR/qPCR, lentiviral vector packaging/titration, Western blot.
- Humanized mouse models for in vivo CAR-T evaluation.
- CAR-T trafficking studies: IHC/IF and in vivo imaging.
- CRISPR/Cas9 familiarity for cell engineering.
- In vitro organoid cancer model establishment/expansion.
- Solid tumor experience (e.g., lung, gastric, other refractory cancers).
- Contributions to innovation (publications, patents, or conference presentations).
