Job Position Overview
In the synthesis of pharmaceutical candidate compounds, develop chemical processes that minimize cost of production while maximizing manufacturing capacity. Requires high synthetic organic chemistry skill, strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and clear communication of scientific data.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a highly organized laboratory area with strong focus on chemical and occupational safety; contribute to a healthy, supportive work culture.
- Plan and execute laboratory experiments; analyze outcomes, optimize conditions, and document and communicate findings.
- Prepare material quantities (milligrams to grams) for program/project team customers; interface with chemists, analysts, and engineers to support scale-up.
- Use analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, TLC) and purification techniques (flash chromatography, crystallization).
- Operate and interpret results from spectroscopy (e.g., NMR and mass spectroscopy).

Basic Qualifications
- BS/MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or closely related organic chemistry STEM degree.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time (no sponsorship/visa support).

- Lab-based role; exposure to chemicals/allergens and loud noises.
- Travel: 0–10%.
