Role Responsibilities:
- Independently synthesize modified RNA oligonucleotides (ASO, siRNAs) with diverse sugar/backbone chemistries for in vitro and in vivo studies.
- Troubleshoot and optimize oligonucleotide synthesis methods for various lengths.
- Interpret analytical data (HPLC, LCMS) to improve purity and yields.
- Purify, analyze, and characterize oligonucleotides and conjugates (anion exchange, reverse phase; IP/RP, IEX, SEC; LCMS, UV, melting temperature).
- Register synthesized oligonucleotides in the database (sequence, lot, QC) and report experiments in ELN.
- Design oligonucleotides against targets and perform hit-to-lead optimization.
- Generate intermediates for antibody–oligonucleotide conjugates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define deliverables and timelines; manage multiple projects.
- Perform lab maintenance with peers/lab operations; collect, present, and discuss data internally.

Qualifications / Required:
- PhD in Chemistry or related field with 2 years’ experience, or MSc with 8+ years industry experience (biotech/life sciences). Postdoctoral experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with oligonucleotide synthesis/purification platforms (MerMade, K&A, AKTA Oligopilot).
- Familiarity with biochemical and analytical assays for modified RNA (stability, properties, MoA).
- Ability to independently execute experimental work and communicate results.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred:
- Experience with oligonucleotide conjugation, including antibody conjugation.

Pay Range (base): $118,000–$145,000 USD.
