We have a long history in the Diabetes Obesity and Complications TA of addressing the needs of individuals living with diabetes by providing breakthrough therapies that result in significant improvements in the lives of patients. One hundred years ago, we were the first company to make insulin commercially available, and since then, we have worked relentlessly to improve the lives of patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. We are seeking a highly skilled, passionate and motivated scientist to join our diabetes team. This position will play a key lab-based role in implementing iPSC gene editing capabilities at Lilly Seaport Center and will contribute to the development of the next generation of islet cell therapies. The principal scientist will also apply the iPSC platform to derive other cell types. Successful candidates will have experience with human iPSC cell culture, differentiation, banking, gene editing, molecular biology techniques and assay development. This position will report to Director – Islet Cell Therapy, Stem Cell Biology and Cell Engineering.
Position located in Boston, MA. This is a full-time position requiring weekend cell culture responsibilities on a rotational basis.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $69,000 - $179,300.
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).
