Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and exploratory biochemistry/biophysics assays to quantify receptor binding, cellular trafficking and degradation, non-specific binding/clearance, and other DMPK properties of biologics.
- Partner cross-functionally to design, optimize, and execute assays aligned with project needs.
- Generate/analyze data with high attention to detail; maintain complete and accurate electronic lab notebooks.
- Contribute to automation and semi-automated workflows to improve throughput and reproducibility.
- Develop/optimize protocols and SOPs; maintain and troubleshoot instruments.
- Communicate plans and results via written reports and verbal presentations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s (with 3+ years) or Master’s in biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology, bioengineering, pharmacology, or related field.
Required Experience/Skills
- Strong protein biophysics/biochemistry foundation applied to biological/translational contexts (protein interactions, binding kinetics, trafficking, in vivo clearance).
- Hands-on biochemical/biophysical techniques (e.g., immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, SPR/BLI, meso scale discovery, fluorescence spectroscopy, NMR/HDX/MS).
- Data analysis/troubleshooting and tools such as GraphPad Prism, Excel.
- Attention to detail, strong documentation, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Biologics DMPK assays (receptor binding kinetics, internalization, cellular trafficking).
- Cell culture and cell-based functional assays.
- Ligand-binding protein quantification in biological matrices (e.g., ELISA, meso scale discovery).
- Octet/BLI, SPR or similar; automation/liquid handlers/high-throughput systems.
