Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scientist to join the Oncology & Angiogenesis group of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. at Tarrytown, NY. The successful candidate will join our ongoing efforts to model liver diseases, especially liver cancers. The preferred candidate should have extensive experience with in vivo techniques, especially small animal surgery, and a solid background in flow cytometry. The ideal candidate should be motivated, flexible and capable of working both independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform small animal surgery, injections, or blood or tissue collection
  • Perform cell-based assays on primary parenchymal and non-parenchymal liver cells, as well as liver cancer cell lines to understand biological/pathological/pharmacological processes-of-interest
  • Analyze and document data, communicate results clearly and concisely to supervisor and peers.
  • Daily lab maintenance (i.e. ordering reagents and supplies)

Qualifications

  • Required: BS or MS with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Required: Strong in vivo skills, including small animal surgery, injections (IP, SC, IV), blood and tissue collection.
  • Required: Expertise in flow cytometry.
  • Preferred: Histology, tissue culture (culturing hepatocytes), and immunoassays (ELISA, MSD).

Skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, documentation and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with both animal and bench work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • In-depth in vivo techniques, including small animal surgery, injections (IP, SC, IV), blood and tissue collection.
  • Experience with flow cytometry; histology; tissue culture (hepatocytes); immunoassays (ELISA, MSD).
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
