Responsibilities

  • Contribute directly to Recursion’s mission of revolutionizing drug discovery through our automation- and AI-powered platform.
  • Join initiatives to develop, validate, and scale high-throughput assays on our multiomics platforms, including whole-genome CRISPR screening, enabling the construction of Recursion’s Maps of Biology across diverse and often challenging human cell types.
  • Analyze experimental data rigorously to validate processes, troubleshoot systems, and drive innovation—sharing findings and collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to refine strategy and direction.
  • Conduct impactful research in a matrixed environment where your insights and ideas are highly valued and expected.
  • Play a key role in growing our team, building foundational workflows, and expanding our capabilities through effective teamwork and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, Neurobiology or related field with 7+ years of relevant industry experience or a PhD in Biology, Biotechnology or related field.
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced environment where you’ll leverage creativity and independent thinking to develop high throughput assays at the leading edge of genome-wide screening and early stage drug screening of challenging cellular types and models.
  • Demonstrated experience in molecular and cell biology concepts and assays, including cell culture, transfection, and genetic manipulation, immunology and inflammation assay development. (experience with CRISPR gene editing is desirable)
  • Experience moving forward scientific projects independently and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and quickly learn to use new techniques and instrumentation.
  • Some familiarity/comfort with computational tools and statistical data analysis is desirable.
  • Experience working with automated computer-controlled laboratory instrumentation is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in Immunology and Inflammation is highly preferred.

Working Location & Compensation

This is a lab-based position at our US headquarters located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Employees are expected to work in the office at least 80% of the time.

At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is $94,600 to $118,600 (USD). You will also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity compensation, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
