What You Will Achieve
- Design, execute, and analyze molecular biology experiments to support cell line development, clone characterization, gene expression analysis, and mechanism-of-action studies.
- Culture, maintain, and characterize mammalian cell lines using aseptic technique, controls, and documentation.
- Perform molecular/cellular techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR/ddPCR, cloning, sequencing library prep, transfection, cell-based assays, and protein/transcript characterization.
- Generate, organize, and interpret high-dimensional datasets (transcriptomic/genomic/proteomic/omics as needed).
- Develop and improve reproducible bioinformatics workflows and analysis scripts (Python and/or R).
- Analyze datasets using statistical, visualization, and computational approaches to identify patterns/drivers and actionable hypotheses.
- Partner across lab and computational teams to integrate insights.
- Communicate study design, results, limitations, and recommendations via presentations and technical reports.
- Maintain compliant documentation in electronic lab notebooks, code repositories, and knowledge systems.
- Improve processes by automating analyses, enhancing data quality, strengthening reproducibility, and accelerating decision-making.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- M.S. (4+ years) or B.S. (6+ years) in relevant discipline.
- Hands-on mammalian cell culture experience (maintenance, passaging, transfection/transduction, assays, troubleshooting).
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology methods for DNA/RNA/protein interrogation.
- Coding/scripting experience for biological data analysis (Python/R or similar).
- Ability to work with experimental metadata; ensure data integrity/traceability/reproducibility.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, written/verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams.
Nice-to-Have
- RNA-seq/single-cell/targeted sequencing/NGS processing; reproducible pipelines (SQL, Nextflow, Linux/Unix, cloud); AI-tool familiarity.
- Experience with CHO/production-relevant systems, recombinant protein expression, clone screening, stability, bioprocess development.
- Lab automation/HTE/data management/ELN experience.
- Track record via publications, presentations, patents, or cross-functional impact.
