Position Summary:
Imaging is part of the Research organization in BMS and leads internal/external imaging development and deployment to support multiple disease areas. The team integrates scientific insights to enable decision-making for drug development programs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily operation of MRI scanners and quality of MRI studies in animals
- Implement and develop state-of-the-art MRI acquisition protocols/studies
- Establish complex image analysis and image processing pipelines
- Manage projects and studies across areas (e.g., oncology, neuroscience, cardiovascular)
- Apply scientific/technical skills to conduct assigned experiments/research/studies
- Adapt standard methods using breadth of knowledge and prior experience
- Make decisions impacting work group/project team
- Contribute to continuous improvement and development of new approaches/technologies
- Make presentations in multidisciplinary meetings
- Represent department/function on program/project teams or sub-teams
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelorโs + 5+ years, or Masterโs + 3+ years, or Ph.D./equivalent in Life Sciences
- Extensive experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and imaging analysis
- Proven hands-on experience in animal imaging
- Thorough MRI knowledge and developed knowledge of related disciplines/modality
- Proficient in scientific/technical writing (e.g., regulatory documents, protocols)
- Ability to work on multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and flexibility
- Sound chemistry and biology knowledge (preferred)
- Python, Matlab, and preferably Bruker Paravision programming experience
