Clinical Research and Development
Responsibilities:
- Support early drug discovery programs through cellular assay development to modulate immunology/inflammation targets (using primary immune cells as appropriate).
- Independently design, conduct, and analyze in vitro and in vivo experiments for target validation and therapeutic hypotheses.
- Evaluate new technologies, develop assays, and generate hypotheses to understand disease pathogenesis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with inflammation biology, protein therapeutics, structural/medicinal chemistry, and bioinformatics.
- Present findings; prepare research reports and peer-reviewed manuscripts; contribute to IND and patent filings.
- People leader: create inclusion, develop talent (coaching/feedback), and empower teams (align goals/objectives, remove barriers).

Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years with BS OR 4+ years with MS OR 0+ years with PhD/PharmD.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
- PhD in immunology/molecular/cell biology/biochemistry (2+ years postdoc) OR MS with 8–10 years industry.
- Strong cellular biology/immunology and/or cell signaling; gene modulation methods (e.g., CRISPR, lentiviral transduction) and/or preclinical inflammation/immune function models; familiarity with T cell biology (especially regulatory T cells).
- First-author publications in top-tier journals; excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
