Role Overview
Scientist, In Vivo CAR-T (Research) β Somerset, NJ
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize cell-based assays to support cell therapy programs.
- Perform immune cell isolation, activation, expansion, and T cell culture.
- Conduct lentiviral vector packaging, titration, and transduction experiments.
- Execute assays including multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, cytotoxicity assays, and PCR.
- Design and carry out experiments with moderate independence; analyze and interpret data.
- Document and present results; collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate constructs and generate reproducible data.
- Support progression of research programs from discovery toward early development; maintain awareness of emerging technologies.
- Provide general lab support and contribute to troubleshooting/project execution.
Requirements
- PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
OR Masterβs degree with 3β6+ years relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in immunology, cell therapy, and/or gene therapy.
- Highly preferred: experience with viral vector systems (especially lentivirus).
- Plus: industry or postdoctoral experience.
- Skills/techniques: cell & molecular biology, virology/viral vectors, mammalian cell culture and immune cell handling, flow cytometry and immunoassays; strong data analysis/organization/problem-solving.
