Clinical Research and Development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceive, design, and execute in vitro and in vivo studies to explore mechanisms underlying inflammatory and autoimmune diseases
- Identify and validate new drug targets, biomarkers, and pathways relevant to immune-mediated disorders
- Generate data supporting lead optimization, biomarker discovery, and translational research
- Generate and interpret complex data sets and present findings internally and externally
- Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, protein engineering, and computational/translational sciences to drive target identification/validation, drug discovery, and development
- Stay abreast of scientific advances and emerging technologies in immunology and inflammation
Qualifications:
- PhD, MS, or BS (PhD preferred) in Immunology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, or related field; 0–2+ years industry experience (MS 4+ years; BS 6+ years), preferably in inflammatory/autoimmune disease drug discovery
- Strong expertise in immune cell biology (innate/adaptive), cell signaling, and immunological assay development
- Hands-on experience with biochemical/cellular assay development, tissue culture, multiparametric flow cytometry (e.g., 15+ colors), ELISA/MSD, RNA & protein analysis (RNA-seq/qPCR, Jess), and CRISPR
- Ability to isolate and culture primary murine/human cells or patient-derived samples
- Plus: experience with inflammation/autoimmunity disease models
- Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments; strong problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior biotech/pharma drug discovery or translational research
- Experience with small-molecule and biologics drug discovery
- Experience with multiomics analyses
