How you’ll make an impact:
- Work closely with program teams to address key biology and chemistry questions
- Develop and optimize sample preparation and mass spectrometry methods for deep quantitative analysis of cell and tissue total proteomes and post-translational modifications
- Perform maintenance, quality control, and troubleshooting of instruments, including HPLCs and mass spectrometers
- Establish robust nLC-MS-based data acquisition and analysis workflows
- Document, analyze, interpret, and present experimental data clearly and concisely
- Present scientific results and strategic recommendations to internal project teams, senior leadership, and external collaborators
- Stay up to date on proteomics methods and technologies
- Proactively recognize and solve technical and scientific issues to ensure high-quality proteomics data for drug discovery progression

Skills and experience you’ll bring:
- PhD in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Biology, or related field; OR 3+ years quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomics experience; OR 7+ years industry experience in proteomics
- Extensive hands-on proteomics experience, including:
- Independently troubleshoot, analyze, and interpret proteomics data; recommend and execute next steps
- Proficiency in quantitative proteomics techniques including DIA, label-free quantification, and peptide fragmentation methods
- Maintain and troubleshoot HPLCs and mass spectrometers
- Develop methods and perform nano LC-MS/MS using Orbitrap Astral or Orbitrap Exploris 480
- Computational analysis and downstream statistical analysis experience (e.g., DIANN, Perseus, R, Python)
- Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Lead lab activities including hit validation, lead optimization, target validation, and small molecule mechanism of action studies

Preferred / plus:
- PTM analysis (phosphorylation and ubiquitination), protein interaction analysis, and targeted proteomics
- Low abundance protein isolation from cells, tissue, and biofluids; affinity enrichment; automation and liquid handling systems
- Mass spectrometry-based protein-protein interaction mapping (pulldown, proximity labeling, XL-MS)
- Tissue culture experience (suspension and adherent cell lines)

Compensation:
- Anticipated base salary range: $90,000–$200,000, with eligibility for annual bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.
