Scientist II, Multispecifics Engineering - Discovery Biotherapeutics

Discovery Biotherapeutics is seeking a highly motivated research scientist to support biologics drug discovery and multispecifics engineering. Contribute to the discovery and engineering of biopharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities:
- Support discovery and engineering of biopharmaceutical products (including antibody and multispecifics)
- Perform antibody/multispecifics design and production
- Apply molecular biology and biopharmaceutical characterization and purification workflows
- Analyze, document, and report data; communicate results and present in group settings

Qualifications:
- BS or MS in biology or related discipline with typically 7+ years (BS) or 5+ years (MS) pharmaceutical and/or relevant experience
- Protein/biologics/fragments/multi-specifics purification
- Mammalian cell culture for protein expression
- In vitro protein characterization techniques (e.g., SEC, MS, DSF)
- Strong molecular biology skills (e.g., molecular cloning)
- Sequence analysis tools familiarity (Vector NTI, Geneious, Genedata)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; execute on multiple projects simultaneously
- Team player in fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
- Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred qualifications:
- Antibody engineering, design, and optimization experience
- Experience overseeing CROs for DNA and protein production
- Hands-on SEC/HIC/IEX purification of complex biologics using AKTA platforms
- Experience with automation equipment (e.g., Hamilton, AssayMap, Kingfisher)
- Mass spectrometry interpretation for complex biologics
- Software proficiency: Geneious, Genedata, Unicorn
